| First Step Fund is a nonprofit agency that has been providing business training and support to low- to moderate-income entrepreneurs in the metro Kansas City area since 1994. To date more than 1,400 Kansas Citians have graduated from one of our multi-week training programs.
First Step Fund has assisted more than 700 businesses and can currently account for more than 310 graduate businesses which employ an additional 260 individuals in the community. That's more than 570 current jobs that have been created by First Step Fund graduates. Additionally, these businesses generate in excess of
$2 million in annual net profits.
